In honor of Black History Month, our February Peace Brew will spotlight our namesake, Sojourner Truth. Join us for an inspiring presentation led by Dr. Erica Metcalfe, Instructor of History at Milwaukee Area Technical College, as we explore Sojourner’s extraordinary legacy. Together, we’ll reflect on her trailblazing advocacy and the enduring power of her story.

About the Coffee

Colectivo is honored to share Sumatra Fair Trade/Organic Ketiara with Peace Brew participants. Koperasi Pedagang Kopi Ketiara is one of the best-known Fair Trade coffee cooperatives in the Gayo Highlands on the Indonesian island of Sumatra. Their chairwoman, Rahmah, is a trailblazer creating opportunities for young women.

Colectivo was founded in Milwaukee in 1993, and specializes in hand roasted coffee and scratch made food and bakery.
